How long can trace amounts of xanax be found in your urine for?

i had not taken xanax in just about 6 weeks which ity was about 5-6 weeks that i had been going to see that doctor before my urine screen, where they found trace amounts of xanax, when i should only have klonopin, me levels were 49 for the xanax and 1009 for the klonopin that i had been taking by it self. i hadnt used xanax since i got perscribed klonopin.. theres no point. I've read all over the place that xanax can show trace amounts in a urine lab test for up to 6-8 weeks becuase it stores itself in your liver and metabolizes like sugar so trace amounts can be found. can anyone help me find a lab note or something like that to prove to my doctor they were just trace amounts still exiting my system and that i had not used it since before i started on the klonopin. because they started tappering me a half mg a week and i want to stop be able to stop the tapper as i have been clean from xanax or other drugs since i started at my doctors office. ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!
