Is it a good idea to take xanax?

I sleeping problems becuz its very very hard for me to fall asleep and idk yet if i mite have insomnia...i have tried everything like sleeping pills and drinking cough medicine but doesnt work...i heard xanax is prescribed for ppl who have sleeping problems but my mom doesnt want me to becuz she thinks im making this all up or sumthin and just want the pills for funn...ive taken xanax before but i would use them to go to sleep and sometimes just for fun...should i get xanax for my sleeping problems??
